Trust the Lord

I have a habit of thinking that I can do anything and everything, rather than truly trust the Lord with all my heart, my mind, and my soul. I know the verse- I can repeat back to myself during times of trial, guided yoga, when my toddler is having a melt down, but do I truly believe it? Do I honestly trust God with everything in me. The answer is no, I don’t.

I think sometimes as Leaders, we have to feel as if we have everything all together all the time. We need to have the right answer at the right time. What does that desire to have a gold star from the world leave us with? Emptiness and a feeling of constant disappointment. We lead and live in a broken world- that won’t change until Jesus comes back to this earth and calls us home. So, let’s use the time and energy we have teaching ourselves to breathe in deeply the sweetness of trusting the Lord.

Step One: Take a breath and reflect on what you are reading. If you aren’t in the word- where are you? Really take a look at where you are investing your time and energy. If it’s not God glorifying- move on. You are giving yourself over to the emptiness the world freely advertises. Where are you in the word?

Step Two: Pray those words before the Lord. Spend time using what you are currently reading to pray to the Lord. If you aren’t
